just rearranged my photos and realised i’m only halfway thro’ in uploading January’s food pics! it’s March alr!
so.. presenting the homecooked stuffs
watercress soup (chinese style)
铁板豆腐 hotplate beancurd, without the hotplate tho.
found egg tofu in one of the vietnam markets here. first, pan fry the tofu till it browns/crisps on both sides. second, stir fry remaining ingredients – shitake mushrooms, minced pork (you can marinate the pork if you have time), chilli padi, onions and garlic. third, add salt and pepper to eggs, beat them well and pour in. fourth, place the tofu on top of the mixture before the eggs get cooked entirely. oh! the sauce. prepare the sauce separately and pour before serving. sauce: oyster sauce, light soya sauce and mushroom dark sauce, a little sugar and water to a boil.
broccoli and carrots.
fried rice variation.
i did a chicken fried rice recipe in previous post. the below is bacon and broccoli fried rice. well, these are leftover ingredients sitting in my fridge.
i was feeling lazy so i threw all the veggies in the oven. Broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, yellow squash, potatoes and onions! i sliced the potatoes so thinly, it baked like potato chips. loves. drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper. add some herbs if you like and bake it at 420F till it browns. yay.
the previous post and this summed up my January’s cooking.
oh. and these. LY whipped these up cos i was down with very bad flu over the CNY period. He only knows how to do these.
